Dr. Adi-Bensaid is a senior communication disorders clinician in Israel. She is a senior lecturer in the Communication Sciences and Disorders Department, Faculty of Health Professions, Ono Academic College. She has extensive clinical experience working with infants and toddlers with developmental delay and language and communication disorders, as well as with their families. In addition she is involved in the rehabilitation of children and adults after cochlear implantation at the Communication Disorders Clinic, Sheba Medical center, Tel-Hashomer, Ramat-Gan, Israel. Her Ph.D. dissertation focused on “The prosodic development of Hebrew-speaking hearing-impaired children” (Tel-Aviv University, 2006). Among other things, she investigates the characteristics (lexical, pragmatic, and syntactic) of speech directed to children (CDS) with typical and a-typical development (e.g., hearing impaired), and the communication abilities of infants and toddlers with typical and a-typical development.
